An Emergency Loan is an advance on expected or pending financial aid. Each school has its' own funds for emergency purposes and guidelines for the use of these funds. Please contact your financial aid officer for detailed information on how to obtain an Emergency Loan.
Emergency Loan Disbursements
Emergency loan checks are cut by the Bursar's Office on the same schedule as all refunds (see above). When you complete your loan request with the Office of Financial Aid, you will also decide whether you want to pick up your check at the Bursar's Office or where to have it mailed. Emergency Loans are charged to your student account. Payment is deducted from your refund check when your loan disbursement is received.
